Community Living Sarnia-Lambton (CLSL) was first organized 'officially' in 1956 as a non-profit, charitable corporation. It was created in order to provide community-based (non-institutional) opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.
The management and staff at Community Living Sarnia-Lambton have always been very creative in shaping support options to meet the needs of the individuals it serves. They have been very successful in 'doing more with less'...by the efficient use of their traditional funding and by finding and using new funding sources. They have shown us that an individual can often be best served by supporting the family unit.
When their latest idea of the wonderful gymnasium at the corner of Wellington & Murphy in Sarnia was in the works our foundation was pleased to help with the specialized rubber flooring and upgrades to the activity centre.
